Help them to see better
Common eyes issues in rural area are cataract, uncorrected refractive errors / aphakia, glaucoma, corneal scar and pterygium. There is a growing need for glasses especially from the senior groups. It is not uncommon that they expose their eyes to high level of sunlight on their daily basis. Every morning they leave their home and go to the field working on their rice paddies till noon.
This Sunday, Pastor Sonly and his wife, Nakru Phally, joined our team to bring not only the gospel of Jesus, but also some rice and reading glasses for the villagers.
Over 50 families gathered at Living Water Farm Center in awe seeing the beauty of the green spot located on the hillside in this village. As part of our visions, we aimed at developing this place to provide love, hope, and faith. We wanted to see the smiles of the people, the salvation, and the future for the next generation.
Pastor Sonly’s heart is to see the salvation and the Kingdom of God is expanding in Cambodia. He and his wife joined us to see the situation in this village. He courageously proclaimed the love of Jesus and the salvation messages to the senior groups.
“If I come here to tell you a lie, I wouldn’t waste my time being here right now” said Ps. Sonly. He continued “I am here with the truth I am living by for the last 49 years”.
Ps. Ly boldly shared the message of the truth speaking with the tone that senior groups can easily grasp. The divine anointing message led many to plant the seeds of the truth. A few families later on came to receive their salvation prayers.
We noticed the words of God touched the heart of the villagers. A lady felt very emotional as she heard the salvation message. Though she didn’t decided to receive the Lord right away, we encouraged her to continue seeking the Lord and allow God to move in her. She felt at ease as she know that the salvation is not by force but love and peaceful decisions.
Please continue to pray for our team as we are working on bringing over prayer walk team, and establishing the church service either once a month or twice a month. We believe that God ‘s angels are ahead of us paving ways for the upcoming salvations.
