Mr. Kol Phakon’s story is a powerful testimony of hope, perseverance, and transformation. Coming from a remote Cambodian village where opportunities were scarce, jobs were few, and quality education was often out of reach, Phakon faced the same hardships many young people in rural communities endure—poverty, instability, and the constant pressure to migrate in search of a better life.
A few years ago, Living Water Farm had the privilege of meeting this bright and determined young man. Recognizing his potential and his heart to learn, we invited him to come to the city and join our team. While volunteering at Living Water Farm, Phakon proved to be a humble, hardworking, and faithful servant. At the same time, we supported him through his studies at the Royal University of Agriculture, where he committed himself to growing in both knowledge and character.
In his third year of university, Phakon’s dedication opened a new door—he was selected to participate in a professional agricultural exchange program in Israel.
There, he served in the poultry industry for 12 months, gaining hands-on experience and advancing his understanding of animal science and modern farming techniques.
Now back in Cambodia, Phakon brings not only academic knowledge but also international agricultural experience, leadership skills, and a renewed vision for his future and community.
At Living Water Farm, we believe in investing in young people like Phakon—raising up leaders rooted in faith, equipped with practical skills, and ready to serve their nation for the glory of God.
We thank the Lord for what He has done in Phakon’s life, and we continue to walk alongside him as he steps into greater responsibility and service.
