The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) sent their student team to partner with Living Water Farm center to conduct fund and educational workshops for our village children, youth , and the primary and secondary school students.
They brought a variety of game activities for our community children, and youth. This is such a great opportunities for our kids for their dreams to be triggered.
Besides going to schools, kids here in our village walk their cows to the fields – rice paddies, or help their parents on their farms. For those kids whose parents don’t have cattle, resort to gather for fun at dangerous places. By providing extra curriculum or after-school activities, the students not only enjoyed but also learned new things with the groups.
During the mission trip, hundreds of kids were served, and ministered. We had talked to the principles of the school. They were kind to us and had allowed us to come to meet with their students at the school compounds. One of the reasons that some group’s activities had to be done at the school were because of the concerns from the kids’ parents that coming to our Living Water Farm center is a bit far from their community. Therefore, we had to conduct the workshops at the schools following the workshops at Living Water Farm.
The adult boy on the left names Mr. Thai. He desires to become a pilot in the future. We asked him to keep his dreams.
He is looking at world’s map , and Hong Kong geography.
Some of the kids don’t even have opportunities to come to capital city to further their education. Thus, they have to continue living in their village attending their cows and farms while their dreams can disappear.
We thank the team for their learning service at our community. They are very committed students who had been planning very well to conduct the educational workshops and other community services for village.
They also helped us deploying their drones and other agricultural equipment to benefit our farm. They tested the soil to find out some useful components, and to detect any other great potential source of water. Moreover, they provide great recommendations for our team of what can be best for the crops to plant.
